Supporting women's empowerment

Supporting women's empowerment

Women empowered in every one of our workplaces
Introducing Hiraoka Body’s initiatives aimed at a better future

Hiraoka Body is advancing company development where men and women can work equally, by eliminating the idea of fixed gender roles and supporting events that have a major impact on women’s careers, such as marriage and childbirth.

Developing workplaces that are welcoming to women

Hiraoka Body has developed various systems and environments so that female employees can continue their careers even after marriage and childbirth.

Supporting empowerment of women regardless of workplace or job title

The manufacturing industry has historically developed organizations centered on male employees, and Hiraoka Body is no exception. For that very reason, we have formulated positive actions to focus on recruiting activities in divisions where there have been few female employees until now and increase initiatives that boost the long term career development of women, then published this as our action plan. That is our responsibility as a company, toward realizing a society in which men and women are equally empowered.

Positive Actions

  • Plan Period: 3 years from April 1, 2016 - to March 31, 2019
Goal 1: Increase the number of female employees in technical positions from the current number of 3 to at least 5.
Specific Efforts
  • Revise our recruitment page to be aware of women seeking technical positions
  • Conduct tours of our factories for female students in technical programs
Goal 2: Conduct trainings for female employees with the purpose of management position education
Specific Efforts
  • Hold hearings in order to ascertain the training needs of female employees
  • Decide on training programs based on the results of these hearings
  • Conduct the above training programs
  • Examine training content for the next training session based on the results of implementing training
In addition to this, a voluntary task team that shares and executes ideas for female employees themselves to improve their workplace has produced results.
